Health Council advice
The Health Council advises parents of children aged 0 to 4 years to give their child 10 micrograms extra vitamin D daily throughout the year, in addition to the normal diet. This is also recommended for parents of children from 4 years old who do not get outside enough (less than 15 minutes a day between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and children from 4 years with a dark skin color.
